Swampy lives in a tree house above a cranberry bog in the great forests of Blamoville. He enjoys sending Valentine’s all year round. It was after the delivery of an extra special love note in the fall of 1903 that a heart grew on his forehead.
I first drew him and then sculpted him out of clay. Then I gave my clay version to Nyoman, who carved a miniature version out of wax, then cast the wax sculpture in brass. Ardi, the silversmith at my workshop, takes it from there, cleaning up the casting and fastening the loop on his back to the brass chain.
Designed by Spencer Hansen, this solid brass Swampy pendant measures 3.5 cm and hangs on a 70 cm oxidized brass chain.
Please note that because all Blamo jewelry is handmade, despite our efforts to create the perfect art figure, each one is unique and may contain minor imperfections…or as we like to call it, character.
